Within a Hive, members can raise Proposals for change, vote on Topics, and discuss issues anonymously. Results and Insights indicate where the community stands and why.

A Proposal is an idea for change raised anonymously by you or another person that solves a real-life problem facing your country or community. Proposals that get Buzzed enough times become Topics, meaning the community will hold a final vote on the idea.

A Topic is a vote held on a winning Proposal or on a decision being made by community representatives. Topics are only live for a short amount of time before becoming Results. Votes and comments on a Topic directly shape the Insights generated by the deliberation.

A Result is created every time a Topic expires, revealing the community's overall verdict on the idea. Results use mathematical algorithms to map and summarise the deliberation, key themes, and how different opinion groups and demographics responded.

Insights are generated according to responses to a Topic, and help to put differences in opinion into context by calculating and displaying points of consensus. Next steps focus on pathways forward for the community based on ideas and solutions raised in the comments.

A new way to participate.
