Between September and November 2025, Buzzy was piloted by students at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, testing it's capacity to surface actionable, community-sourced ideas for change. The test was a resounding success, and feedback from students is being used to guide further development that will improve the Buzzy experience. Analytical findings are also being used to inform research conducted by Dr. Luke Oldfield on how digital technology can be used to enhance deliberative democracy in New Zealand.
